A PHOTOGRAPH of a Llan Ffestiniog man is the subject of this week’s ‘Timewatch’ appeal.

Sue Salter has been in touch to see if anyone can tell her where this picture was taken.

“I am attaching a photograph which I hope you can publish in your newspaper,” she writes.

“It was taken around 1915 and shows a number of First World War soldiers, accompanied by several ladies and children.

“One of the soldiers (seated left) was my great-uncle Arthur Price from Llan Ffestiniog. He was in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and died in Belgium in 1916.

“I am hoping that by publishing the photograph, some readers might recognise the other people as their ancestors and therefore help me identify where and when it was taken.

“I know that the soldiers were billeted in hotels and large houses in Llandudno when they were in training and this may well be where the photo was taken.”

Can you help Sue?
