Music Club

A DYNAMIC young duo will be bringing a formidable battery of instru-ments to Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor at 7.30pm on Friday 26 February for “an evening of intrigue, innovation and percussive discovery”. This is how Sam Wilson and George Barton describe their programme, which will include Steve Reich’s Clapping Music and Ngoya Marimbas, Dream of the Cherry Blossoms by Keiko Abe, African rhythms, Bach arrangements and a suite from West Side Story.Sam Wilson has created work for the Royal Opera House, and also appeared at Glastonbury and the Fringe. He appears in Dolgellau with the support of the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

Age Well centre

THE AGE Well centre will be hosting a special coffee morning on St Davids Day at the Royal Ship Hotel.The group is encouraging people to come along on Tuesday, 1 March, between 10am and 12.30pm to have a look at what activities and support the group offers locally.
