Re: Your recent story in the Cambrian News about Gareth Charlton, who saved his daughter’s life by donating a kidney.

He was a brave man to do this.

He is now appealing for families to discuss donation.

The renal units in Ysbyty Gwynedd and Alltwen hospitals work quietly doing their lifesaving nursing.

While people like to save people’s lives, the idea of personally donating, is for many a step to far.

Families should discuss their feelings on organ donation, Mr Charlton is once again showing his true grit walking 25 miles from one hospital to another. Our communities need more people like him that’s for sure!
