A MAN was left hospitalised after his BMW careered off the road near the Minffordd Hotel, Talyllyn.

At approximately 6pm on Friday evening North Wales Police received a report saying a car had come off the A487 and had ended up stricken at the bottom of a water-filled ditch.

It was only a matter of weeks ago a similar incident took place just a few kilometres away on the banks of the Talyllyn lake when a teenager was rushed to hospital after the car she was travelling in overturned.

Both the Welsh Ambulance and North Wales Police attended the scene and an ambulance was required to take the driver to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

His injuries are understood to be non-life threatening.

Just two hours later, another collision occurred just up the road in Pantperthog.

Dyfed Powys Police reported an incident to the North Wales emergency services after a red Ka was involved in a smash on the winding roads near the Centre for Alternative Technology.

An ambulance was sent to the scene but the driver did not require medical attention.
