TWO Machynlleth residents are hoping to raise £6,000 for charity through a series of events before taking on the challenge of waling the length of the Great Wall of China.
Arwel Owen and Faith Harmsworth are raising the cash for Cancer Research Wales.
Arwel said: “We have signed up to raise a group total in excess of £6,000 in order to embark on the challenge of walking The Great Wall of China.
“I’d like to stress that all proceeds raised go towards Cancer Research Wales – not towards the expedition.”
