A community garden in Dyffryn Ardudwy has officially opened.

Councillor Eryl Jones-Williams opened the garden on Saturday, 8 August. There were almost 90 people in attendance.

The concept of the community garden project was created by Y Tir Allotment Tenants Group (ATG) and has been widely supported by many members of the local communities.

The garden has been developed to provide inclusive access for local communities and offers a space to meet and relaxing, with access for people requiring assistance.

All communities from near or far are invited to use and experience the garden.

“This garden has been supported and funded with a substantial grant from the National Garden Scheme,” said Steve Wells, Chair of the Y Tir Allotment Tenants Group (ATG).

“It is part of land made available to Y Tir, leased from Adra who greatly support such community projects.

“A big thanks to everyone concerned for their enthusiastic support who have contributed to the creation of the garden.”
