A Facebook page set up to give people a platform to perform during lockdown has led to singing success for an IT manager from Pwllheli.

Dylan Morris has done a karaoke and open mic nights, but after sharing videos of himself singing on the Côr-ona Facebook page, the father-of-three has become so popular he has now released a CD.

“I never posted with any expectations that people would enjoy or want to hear more, or that it would lead to anything more,” said 41-year-old Dylan.

“I enjoyed singing so much during the year prior to the first lockdown and it was a way of enabling me to continue doing so as well as developing my confidence.

"I had never posted anything on the web before and so it was a big step and I was quite nervous but the response was incredible from the start.”

Dylan has already posted over 100 videos on the Côr-ona page which has been watched by over 50,000 people.

Set up by Catrin Toffoc to enable choir members, singers and musicians to carry on performing and raising spirits during the first lockdown, the page has attracted and entertained thousands of people in Wales and around the world.

With coronavirus putting a temporary end to open mic nights, Dylan decided to post a video for the first time.

Dylan has released his first CD,Haul Ar Fryn, with the recording company Sain.
