A Ceredigion primary school has been closed to pupils today for a deep clean after members of staff experienced symptoms similar to those caused by coronavirus.
Ysgol T Llew Jones in Brynhoffnant will stay closed for the whole of the day, but will reopen on Tuesday.
Ceredigion County Council said that there are no positive tests in staff members at the school for the virus currently sweeping the globe, but the school was closed for a deep clean as a precautionary measure.
A Ceredigion council spokesperson said: “The council can confirm that Ysgol T Llew Jones has been closed today for precautionary measures.
“There are no tests confirming coronavirus (COVID-19) on any staff member at the school.
“However, as more than one member of staff has experienced some symptoms, it was decided to close the school today, Monday, 16 March, in order to do a deep clean.
“The school will reopen for children on Tuesday, 17 March.”
