INSPECTORS have given the thumbs up to a nursery in Tregaron with a glowing report following a recent inspection.
Cylch Meithrin Tregaron received an inspection from the Care Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) last week following an inspection over the summer, with inspectors finding that the “happy children” at the setting are getting “consistently good quality care.”
The report says, the children are “settled because they have developed positive relationships with staff.”
“The children are active and inquisitive learners, and are interested and excited about their play-based activities,” inspectors found.
“The care staff know the children well.”
The report is divided into four sections: well-being; care and development; the environment; and leadership and management, with the nursery receiving positive comments in all areas.
“We heard the children enjoying singing songs with the staff,” the inspector’s report added.
“Parents told us that their children really enjoy going to the setting.
“The children have a sense of belonging; for example, they all have a personal area to store their coats, bags and work.
“It was a pleasure to see the children playing with the little animals and dinosaurs, discussing their play and concentrating for a period of time as they sort and rearrange them.”
Meithrin chair, Enfys Hatcher, said: “It is a pleasure to read the report which praises the staff, those responsible and, of course, the children.
“Congratulations to the leader, Miss Gayle and her team for running a quality Cylch Meithrin.”
