Pupils and staff are settling in to their new home in Bala following the opening of the new all-through school.

Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn will cater for three to 19-year-olds and the new site includes a public library, a dance studio, theatre and cinema capabilities.

The £10 million school is heralded as being an important step for education in the Penllyn area.

As reported in last week’s Cambrian News, major upgrades to the former Ysgol y Berwyn campus include a public library, dedicated arts resources including a dance studio and a theatre with a digital projector to show films.

The investment on the site has been jointly funded by Gwynedd Council and the Welsh Government as part of the 21st Century Schools scheme.
