AFTER hearing of the local concerns about speeding vehicles along the road outside the school in the village of Abersoch, the council is in the process of arranging the speed limit to be brought down from the 30mph which exists now to 20mph.

The pupils at the school were asked by the staff of the Gwynedd Council Road Safety Department to design a poster that could be printed and placed under the new signs to make motorists think before speeding outside their school.

All the pupils took part, and everybody accepted a small gift from the department. Two winners were picked, and their art work will now be printed and placed underneath the new signs.
