THE group met on 8 February at the sports club, where Jean Coker welcomed 14 members. After the business meeting, she welcomed speaker Carl Booth, who has been an audiologist for 19 years, for Boots in Bangor. He gave an extremely interesting and informative talk about deafness and hearing aids, explaining about the working of the ear and the causes of deafness in easy terms that we could understand. The initial test is free and lasts over an hour, he then assesses the type of hearing device required.
