Aberystwyth musicians team up for new CD

An ex-Bow Street singer/songwriter has released a 4 track CD of his own compositions.

‘Frosty Town’ has been released by Alan Jenkins.

He is accompanied on the tracks by Aberystwyth guitarist Anthony Griffiths, and violinist Po Cole.

The CD includes a Welsh song ‘Blodau sy'n y Fynwent’, that Alan and Anthony recorded last year. It has been played on Celtic Heartbeat and Bore Cothi, and has been submitted for ‘Can I Gymru’, the Song for Wales competition.

Anthony, who is a well-known landscape photographer, took the CD cover photo of Aberystwyth castle in snow.

The group hope to perform at local venues in the town to promote the CD, which will be out in November.
