A family from Sarn Bach has presented a cheque of £2,100 to the Wales Air Ambulance, based in Dinas Dinlle.

The Hughes family raised the money during their annual Welsh tea afternoon over the summer in Tan y Bryn.

This is the fourth year Rhian has organised the event to thank the Wales Air Ambulance after her son, Wil, (standing in front) fell 18 feet through a farm roof in 2014 and needed to be air lifted by the Wales Air Ambulance.

Rhian Hughes, her son Wil, 8, and Megan, 9, and Dori Hughes are presenting the cheque to Ian Thomas, a critical care practicioner at Wales Air Ambulance who helped Wil on the day of his accident at the Dinas Dinlle base.
