A DISTRAUGHT family are looking to track down their beloved dog which meant missing over the festive season.
Tono, a four-year-old black and white Pointer, went missing from his family home in Talsarnau on the Friday before Christmas. Despite a sighting, the dog has not yet returned home, even after the family left him out his own Christmas dinner to lure him back.
Lee Walton, his partner Kate Linay and their little boy Kieran have launched an urgent appeal for everyone to keep their eye out for Tono after spending the whole festive period trying to track him down and return him the to their home, Eisingrug Farmhouse, Talsarnau.
Family friend Emma Todd explained how much they missed their pooch. “They have now endured several days without their beloved Pointer, Tono, who went missing from their home on Friday 22 December,” she said.
“There was a sighting at the local Honda garage in Talsarnau in the early hours of Christmas Eve but nothing since.
“They have been back several times - they searched all day Christmas Day and even took him a Christmas dinner and left it on the forecourt.
“They are desperate to get Tono home. Tono is a black and weight male pointer, age 4, and weighs about 28 kilos.
“He is a rescue dog and nervous of people so if you see him, please call Kate and Lee on 07501320020 or 01766 780545.
“Alternatively you can contact www.doglost.co.uk, search for Tono, and leave a message."
Emma continued: "We're getting really worried now as Tono will be getting weaker and the weather is getting colder, we don't know how much longer he will survive.
"If anyone has access to a suitably sized live dog trap please contact Claire Stokes on 07754 945710 so we can place it in the right area. All expenses for the trap will be paid. We really are desperate."
