Scores of Pwllheli families have asked me to use the letters column of the Cambrian News to thank the local young men who treated our town to a brief fireworks display on New Year’s Eve.

What a fantastic performance.Hundreds of families stood on their doorsteps and cheered in loud jubilation while savouring the enriching delights of the first class pyrotechnics display from Pen Garn high above our town.

In less than 30 minutes the depths of despair and grumbling gloom of lock down were almost forgotten.

Hopefully these public-spirited young locals can build on this dazzling success!
