The Meirionnydd branch of the Farmers’ Union of Wales (FUW) invites members, farmers, friends, family, and local politicians to join them for breakfast.

Hosting two breakfast events in aid of the FUW’s annual Farmhouse Breakfast Week, the local branch is looking forward to many farming matters chats over cups of tea and a cooked breakfast.

The events, held on Monday, 7 February, at 9.30am at Caffi Cymunedol, Dyffryn Ardudwy, and on Thursday, 10 February, at 9am at Caffi Llyn, Trawsfynydd will also raise vital funds for the FUW President’s charity, The DPJ Foundation.

Speaking ahead of the events, FUW Meirionnydd county president, Euros Puw, said: “We are very excited to be able to host these breakfast events after we were delayed because of Covid-19. Breakfast week marks an important time in our calendar every year as it gives us a chance to get together with friends, family, neighbours, and other farmers who we might not see regularly.

“We get to share our thoughts about the state of the industry, worries, concerns and hopes too and that is really important. The last couple of years have been tough for us all and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone.”

The FUW’s Farmhouse Breakfast is also an opportunity to discuss the most critical farming matters with elected politicians, who are invited to join the Union for breakfast.

FUW Meirionnydd county executive officer Huw Jones said: “We extend a warm welcome to all our local politicians and hope many will join us for breakfast. There are many things to discuss and what better way to do that than over a cuppa and breakfast.”
