A Shrove Tuesday event was held yesterday (Tuesday) to raise money for a church.
Pictured here are Shan Roberts, Iola Evans, Delyth Pugh and Edith Jones, members of St Mary’s Church Dolgellau.
It was taken yesterday at their Shrove Tuesday celebrations, where they had tea, pancakes and a light lunch to raise money for the church.
Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, when people give up something - such as eating chocolate or drinking alcohol - for 40 days, and pancakes are eaten the day before as a way of using up eggs, milk and sugar before the fast.
So, how did you celebrate Pancake Day? What’s your favourite topping? What are you giving up for Lent?
