Madam,
It looks like the whole country is facing rising amounts of fly-tipping. It is getting worse by the week.
Since the start of the new rubbish-collection rules, we haven’t had a scorching summer, which would cause more smells. It looks like more people will resort to dumping waste anywhere they chose.
So the council needs to desperately rethink the whole job of refuse collection and, hopefully, do the job we pay them to do.
If the funds for collection and disposal don’t add up, why not collect the money for this separately from council tax, thus ensuring the money is only spent on this?
The job needs to be done and done by people responsibly. We all want a clean environment to live and play in. Our world will be very quickly poisoned if there is careless dumping of waste. There need to be stringent laws, dealt out to the people who are spoiling our world with rubbish.
Yours etc
Jean Miles
Harlech.
