Three junior football teams at Pwllheli are indebted to local farmer/businessman for the use of his land to play their home matches in the Llyn and Eifionydd Football League.

Will Owen who owns Llyn Golf, Pen y Berth Caravan Site helped the youngsters who were desperate for a field to play their home matches.

The land that Mr Owen has loaned the teams is used as a football pitch by visitors of Pen y Berth during the holiday season and therefore the land was fit for purpose.

All the team coaches have done is mark the pitch and bring in their own goalposts etc.

Mr Owen gave the use of the land free of charge to the club and he also makes sure that the grass is cut weekly.

The three teams who will benefit from the loan of the football pitch are Pwllheli Magpies (under 12s), Seagulls (under 12s) and Magpies (under 8s).
