ABERDARON has been chosen to pilot a free public wi-fi project so that everyone who visits and lives in the village can access the internet.
The Llyn village was chosen to pilot the project by Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig which was chosen for its unique geography coupled with a high number of visitors.
Residents say having public wifi can only benefit the area, which has often poor mobile coverage and non-existent 3G/4G mobile coverage.
Geraint Jones, chairman of the Aberdaron and District Tourist Link said: “In this day and age people expect to be able to connect to the internet to share information on Facebook, make reservations or check when local attractions are open."
