NEW York comes to the Llyn peninsula for the wedding of Mynytho couple, Emma and Simon Roberts.

A yellow taxi, a cheesecake and the Statue of Liberty put in an appearance in the next episode of Priodas Pum Mil which airs tonight on S4C.

Over the past few weeks, Emma and Simon’s friends and family have been very busy planning a wedding to remember.

And just like every other wedding in the series, they have just £5,000 to spend.

Given that New York is an important location in the couple’s love story, the wedding’s theme is centred around the city that never sleeps.

“We got engaged in New York, so we thought it would be nice to have a little twist of that on the day,” Emma said.

Emma and Simon’s loved ones have a lot of work to do to bring touches of New York to Pen Ll?n.

No detail can be overlooked: the cake, the car, the dress, the location, the food, the drinks, and all the decorations. Luckily the Priodas Pum Mil crew are at hand every step of the way to help with the preparations.

And just like the city that never sleeps, the crew are keen for a great party after the ceremony.

Every decent party needs music and, without a doubt, the biggest surprise for the couple on the big day is a live performance by Simon’s favourite band, Fleur de Lys.

“Everything was fantastic – but seeing Simon and Emma’s reaction when they saw the band – that was priceless,” said Manon, a friend of the couple and one of the wedding’s organisers.

With the sun setting over the sea after a special day filled with surprises, who needs Broadway when we’ve got Pen Ll?n?

“It was a lovely day,” said Emma.

“Perfect,” added Simon.
