A woman with cancer who has already raised over £140,000 for various charities will host another charity night this month.

Megan Jones Roberts will host the night at the Marine Hotel in Aberystwyth on 31 October to raise money for Cancer Research Wales.

“As someone who is receiving chemotherapy treatment, I feel it is very important to raise funds for this charity to help develop new treatments for future sufferers,” Megan said.

“I have already raised around a £143,000 for various charities over the years and my target is £150,000.

“This means that I will have to arrange another two concerts to achieve my aim and hopefully, this can be done within in the next year.

“Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see a room full of people from all over Wales enjoying my concerts and also donating to worthwhile charities at the same time.”

Entertaining on the night is renowned singer Jonathan Davies, who recently appeared on ‘Y Llais’, and Dylan and Neil, the father and son duet from Y Felinheli who have shared centre stage at various fundraising functions throughout Wales.

Bois y Rhedyn from the Llanddewi Brefi/Tregaron area will also entertain.

Keeping the artists in line on the night is another well-known name, Geraint Lloyd, who will be the compère. Geraint has as a presenter worked on Radio Ceredigion and Radio Cymru.

“It will be good to have him back on stage once again also.” said Megan.
