A Ceredigion farmer will be honoured in a TV programme celebrating the heroes of 2020.
Dathlu Dewrder: Arwyr 2020 (Celebrating Bravery: Heroes of 2020) is on S4C tonight.
It celebrates and says thank you to several groups and individuals for their outstanding work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Presenters Elin Fflur and Owain Tudur Jones will be joined by several famous faces for the celebrations including Michael Sheen, Cerys Matthews, Ben Cabango and Geraint Thomas.
One of the 10 organisations and individuals honoured will be Rhythwyn Evans from Silian, near Lampeter.
Rhythwyn was inspired by Captain Tom Moore and he celebrated his 91st birthday by walking around his house 91 times, raising £50,000 for the Hywel Dda University Health Board.
Rhythwyn says during the programme: “I had seen what Captain Tom had done and I thought, to an extent, that I could do something similar.”
When Rhythwyn first decided to raise money for Hywel Dda University Health Board, he expected to raise about £500.
He said: “We collected £50,000. We never thought when we started that we would raise such a sum.”
“I never thought I would live to see this age – I’ve seen so many changes. There is a saying in Welsh – the sun will shine on the hills again. We take it for granted that things will get better and one of these days the sun will shine once again.”
Dathlu Dewrder: Arwyr 2020 is on Friday, 18 December, at 9pm on S4C, with English subtitles. Also on demand on S4C Clic, iPlayer and others.
