Madam,

Being a veteran myself, I felt a duty to attend the Armistice event in Great Darkgate Street, Aberystwyth on 11 November.

I displayed the Blue Badge, but was unable to get into a disabled parking space. I found a parking place outside Barclays Bank totally empty, except for a very large yellow skip.

I parked behind this skip causing absolutely no obstruction, then I got to the event just before the “two minutes’ silence” started and left after the subsequent Last Post and flag-flying ceremony, to find that the patrollers had put parking tickets on a number of vehicles.

The Gestapo would have been proud of them; if you have a change of mind, or a feeling of moral guilt, please donate the sum to Barnardo’s.

Yours etc,

A Deamer, Geryllan, Penrhyncoch.
