ABERSOCH Golf Club has handed a bumper cheque to the crew of the Wales Air Ambulance.
It was all smiles as the club captain John Brynmor Hughes and lady captain Elin Williams presented the Wales Air Ambulance with a cheque for £3,267 at their Caernarfon Airport base at Dinas.
The money was raised in their very sucessful Charity Golf Open AM competition which was arranged at the club by the two captains.
A total of 136 competitors took part, including members and visitors.
As well as the golf competition, an auction of promises was held in the evening and that was very well supported and they managed to raise a grand total of £6,530 and the money was split equally between the Wales Air Ambulance and Bloodwise.
As the two captains terms are coming to an end, they both presented this money to the two charities, and they wanted to thank everybody for their fantastic support - all the donations, the various sponsors of the holes on the competition day and all the auction items which were donated.
Thanks went to the lady members who baked some delicious cakes, which were served up at the halfway house and went down a treat.
