A group of Porthmadog women are to take on a golfing challenge next weekend to help raise money and awareness for a charity very close to their hearts.

Sandra Creamer, along with her friends, will complete a three-course golf challenge in memory of her grandson Freddie, who was sadly born sleeping.

Sandra, Porthmadog Golf Club Lady Captain, Sandy Jones, June Yapp, Fay Jones, Chris Gaffey and Cath Malpass will start their day on 26 May with a round of golf at Abersoch Golf Club, before taking on Pwllheli’s course and finishing at their own club, Porthmadog.

This is the latest challenge in a year of fundraising for charities that help families with the loss of a baby.

Sandra said: “We are doing this in memory of my grandson Freddie, who was sadly born sleeping.

“Family and friends are doing a year of challenges and fundraising to raise awareness of baby loss and to support some of the amazing charities that help families when a baby dies.

“We would like to thanks Abersoch and Pwllheli golf clubs for their hospitality and Pwyth Pistyll.”
