A UNIQUE Good Friday event will again take place on the Talyllyn Railway this Easter.

Called ‘Stations at Stations’ a special train will stop at each station along the line where readings and prayers will be read telling the story of the crucifixion.

Paid for by the churches and chapels in Tywyn the train first ran in 2009 running for a further two years.

This year it has be decided to do this once more and again the Bishop of Bangor (Rt Rev Andy John), who led the first event in 2009, will be present for the occasion.

The timetable has yet to be finalised, but the ‘first station’ will be at Tywyn Wharf Station at 4pm on Good Friday, 14 April, with the train leaving at 4.55pm and returning to Tywyn by 8pm.

The train is free, but there will be a collection for the diocese of Matebeleland, Zimbabwe.
