MEMBERS of Ceredigion Art Trail are already planning how to top a successful 2016 with a range of events for next year.
The Art Trail, which is made up of artists across Ceredigion, has a new executive committee with new chair Penny Samociuk saying the group were determined to progress the Art Trail and provide a range of events and support for artists in the county.
Next year will be the sixth year of the Art Trail with Penny saying that plans are being drawn up now in terms of events, as well as making the Art Trail directory even more essential.
She said: “The 2016 Art Trail, one of the most successful Art Trails of recent years, has come and gone. However, the Ceredigion Art Trail for 2017 is already being organised.
“The team are in place and working tirelessly to achieve the best outcome ever. There has been very encouraging feedback from members, which while ongoing, has allowed us to start to plan an exciting and new approach to the 2017 trail.
“Undoubtedly the most appealing and long lasting aspect of the Art Trail over recent years, has been the outstanding quality and success of the Art Trail directory. Indeed many visitors visit venues advertised in the directory many months after the trail.
“The ease of finding artists through the directory is retained long after the event.
“This has led the team to plan a revolutionary and exciting new approach.
“It is intended that the directory, while absolutely essential for a successful Art Trail, will be published in a format which will allow it to be the definitive annual Ceredigion directory of artists and makers.”
