VOLUNTEERS have helped beautify an area of Snowdonia with local flora.

A team of Snowdonia Society volunteers planted native trees in the Maentwrog Valley, taking advantage of a burst of good weather.

The scheme was part of the National Grid Better Landscapes Project, a £500m project to visually improve areas in all AONBs and national parks with existing National Grid electricity infrastructure.

The volunteers were thanked for their hard work.
