Madam,

Having given the idea of parking some thought, how about the idea of areas where you can park being painted with green lines so they are instantly recognisable. That way shoppers can park and shop outside shops. These areas could also be used for the shop owners to come and go. There is always confusion about where you can park when you are in a hurry to pick up essentials. This would take away this problem completely. Green lines on the road seem to me to be the way to go.
