A LORRY has broken down in Aberystwyth town centre once again causing gridlock and disruption for drivers and public transport users.

The Cambrian News understands that a lorry from Flint delivering supplies for the new Mill Street development has broken down at the junction between Northgate Street and Thespian Street after air pipes to the brakes snapped and locked the trailer in place.

Only last month, traffic was brought to a halt at the same location after a lorry carrying a section of a piece of machinery for the Volac milk factory in Felinfach struggled to navigate through the narrow streets.

Police have confirmed they are in attendance and repairs are currently under way in order to be able to move the lorry.

Mid Wales Travel have confirmed there is disruption to all of their bus routes and have advised passengers to expect delays.
