THE Llanbedrog family of a 20-year-old who tragically died in an accident in China have raised a phenomenal sum in his memory after trekking hundreds of miles.
In a bid to distract them from their grief, Menai and Gareth Llyr Evans, parents of Robin Llyr Evans, who passed away in 2015, have walked the entire coastline of Wales and have raised a staggering £17,000 for charity.
Robin’s life was cut short whilst he was enjoying a year abroad in China working for technology firm Hawkeye.
He was installing equipment on the roof of a sports arena when he fell a “considerable distance” through a panel and down a lift shaft, dying as a result of the head wounds he received.
