LLWYNGWRIL’S woollen mascot has made a welcome return to the village.

Gwril the giant, the centrepiece of Llwyngwril’s yarn-bombing campaign last year, made an appearance at the launch of the newly refurbished village hall last week after months of being in storage.

On Wednesday, a crowd collected at Y Ganolfan Llwyngwril to officially open the centre’s new washroom facilities.

A spokesperson for Y Ganolfan Llwyngwril committee said: “After many months of using the outside chemical loos, Y Ganolfan Llwyngwril Committee are proud to present the new toilet facilities.

“The grand opening was performed by our local celebrity, Gwril the Giant."
