St David’s Day celebrations have already begun in Gwynedd, and we want to know how you will be marking the occasion.

From schoolchildren wearing traditional dress to craft sessions, parades and more, we want to see your photographs and hear your stories.

And if you’re still looking for something to do to celebrate St David, here’s our round-up of just a few of the things taking place.

Pwllheli Library is hosting a craft session today where you can make banners ready for tomorrow’s parade.

To join the parade, meet at Swyddfa Dwyfor car park, Ffordd y Cob at 10.30am tomorrow to take part.

There’ll be live music and awards for the best outfits.

On Sunday, 1 March, Bala Lake Railway is offering residents of North Wales a free ride.

If you don’t live in North Wales you can still travel at less than half price.

Portmeirion will open its doors for free on Sunday.

The village will be open between 9.30am and 5.30pm and there will be entertainment with local choirs as well as a special preview of S4C programme ’Deian a Loli’ at Hercules Hall.

Robin Llywelyn said: “This is the second year we have opened the village for free to celebrate St David’s Day.

“We had a fantastic day here last year, and we are looking forward to offering choral music in the village centre as well as a family event at Hercules Hall.

“We hope our programme will attract visitors to spend a whole day here and what we offer will be to everyone’s taste.”
