Youth groups, clubs, and schools across Gwynedd are being urged to enter the Op Bang Challenge.
Delivered in partnership by North Wales Police and PACT (Police and Community Trust), the challenge encourages youngsters aged 5-18 to develop projects that improve community safety, wellbeing or the local environment.
As Halloween and Bonfire Night approach, the challenge aims to inspire positive action and help young people become active members of their communities.
Projects should help improve your community in some way. Ideas could include promoting road safety during the darker winter months, raising awareness of the dangers of fireworks and bonfires, educating others about the impact of anti-social behaviour, improving neglected or unused spaces, creating campaigns that encourage community pride and respect, or developing safety initiatives for young people.
Teams have the opportunity to win the first prize of £750, second prize (£500) or third prize (£250).
Additional cash prizes may also be available.
The challenge is designed to encourage young people to become involved in their communities, develop teamwork, creativity and leadership skills, create positive relationships between young people and emergency services, support projects that benefit local communities, and promote safe and responsible behaviour during the Halloween and Bonfire Night period.
To enter the Op Bang Challenge your team must be part of an established club, group or school.
There is no minimum or maximum team size.
Team members can be any age between 5 and 18 years.
More than one project may be entered from the same organisation.
Each team must have at least one adult supervisor aged 18 or over.
The adult supervisor must register the team on behalf of the group.
