Gwynedd will hold Tai ar Daith (Housing on Tour) events from next month.

Tai ar Daith will visit Blaenau Ffestiniog, Botwnnog, Bala and Bangor, starting at Blaenau’s Ysgol y Moelwyn on 8 October, 4pm-6pm.

The aim of the tour is to share information and raise awareness of housing schemes available for Gwynedd residents to ensure they have access to affordable, high quality homes in their own communities.

Council representatives and key partners from housing associations will be on hand to provide information and advice, including details of grants and loans available to help residents buy homes, projects to increase Gwynedd’s housing supply and tackle homelessness, and more.

Officers will be available to help with any housing-related matter, from filling in forms to discussing application, ensuring that every attendee receives support tailored to their personal needs.

Cllr Paul Rowlinson, Cabinet Member for Housing and Property, says: “Tai ar Daith has been a success over the past two years, and we are very pleased to have the opportunity once again to go out into our communities in Gwynedd and speak to people face-to-face about any housing concerns they may have.

“We have organised these events to give everyone the chance to speak to the council about housing and related matters, such as reducing energy bills and so on.

“I want to make it as easy as possible for you to discuss your housing needs with us – whether you are homeless or at risk of losing your home, or if you are looking to rent a social or affordable home, get a loan to buy a home, receive help to bring an empty property back into use, build a new home, and much more.”

Attend Ysgol y Moelwyn, Blaenau, on 8 October, 4pm-6pm, Ysgol Botwnnog, 22 October, Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn, Bala, 12 November, and Ysgol Tryfan, Lon Powys, Bangor, 2 December, all from 4pm-6pm.
