CEREDIGION has recorded 14 new cases of coronavirus today, according to official figures.

These new cases on Sunday take the seven-day rolling total for Ceredigion to 45 cases, giving the county an infection rate of 61.9 cases per 100,000 population, the standard measurement across the UK.

Gwynedd recorded six new cases today, taking its weekly total to 65 and giving it an infection rate of 52.2.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 29 new cases today taking its seven-day total to 269 and giving it an infection rate of 142.5.

Powys has recorded 22 new cases taking its weekly total to 166, with an infection rate of 125.3.

Pembrokeshire only recorded four new cases today, taking its weekly total to 49 and giving it the lowest infection rate in Wales at 38.9 cases per 100,000 population.

A further 19 deaths have been recorded in Wales today, taking the total since the pandemic began in March to 2,033 deaths.

Hywel Dda University Health Board that covers Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire has recorded one new death today, taking its total to 78.

Betsi Cadwaladr in North Wales has also recorded one new death today taking its total to 470.

A total of 744 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded by Public Health Wales across the country today.

In Ceredigion, the Rheidol, Ystwyth and Caron area has registered 14 cases over the last seven days.

Aberystwyth North, Aberystwyth South, Lampeter and Llanfihangel Ystrad, Borth and Bontgoch have all recorded five new cases of Covid-19 in the last seven days.

Aberaeron and Llanrhystud and Beulah, Troedyraur and Llandysul have recorded four new cases in the last week and New Quay and Penbryn and Cardigan and Aberporth have recorded between 0 and two cases.

The Machynlleth and Banwy area of Powys has recorded six cases in the last seven days.

Trelech, Cenarth and Llangeler has recorded 14 new cases in the last seven days whilst Llanfihangel ar Arth and Llanybydder has recorded eight cases.

No new cases have been recorded at Aberystwyth University, which has discovered 40 cases of Covid-19 since students returned in September.
