BRONGLAIS Hospital’s acute stroke unit has received a donation of £500 from members of a car rally after one of the group’s members received care there in 2015.
The Hill Billy Sprint is a car rally held at the Mid Wales Activity Centre in Pontrhydfendigaid each year which helps to raise money for charity.
This year the event raised £500 for the stroke unit on Ystwyth Ward after Marie Baker, a member of the Hill Billy Sprint group, was admitted to the unit following a stroke in January 2015.
