People living or caring for someone with dementia will be able to say how they’d like to be supported in the future at special information sessions in Aberystwyth and Lampeter.
Terminal illness charity Marie Curie is working with Hywel Dda Health Board to try and improve support for people living with dementia.
As part of their efforts, small groups will be held across the west Wales region to talk to people and understand how support can be offered and how services could be organised, including questions on issues such as where people would like to looked after and what things are important to those affected.
The first session will take place in Tre Cynon in Lampeter between 10am and noon on Tuesday, 30 April, with a second session being held at Aberystwyth’s Mudiad Meithrin building at Boulevard Saint Brieuc between 2pm and 4pm.
While the groups will be conducted in English, anyone would prefer to speak Welsh is asked to mention that when booking a place so support can be arranged.
Anyone who would like to book a space or get more information can contact Julie on 07930 404858 or email [email protected].
