Eighteen deaths and over 2,000 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded across Wales today.
According to the latest figures released by Public Health Wales this lunchtime, 2,171 new cases of the virus have been recorded nationwide, but the rate of infection has dropped again, with the all-Wales rate now standing at 510.4 cases per 100,000 population.
Ceredigion has recorded 23 new cases today – the lowest daily total of any public authority in Wales.
Carmarthenshire has recorded 112 new cases today with Pembrokeshire recording 65.
Five of the 18 deaths recorded nationwide today have come in the Hywel Dda region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, with the total number of suspected Covid-19 deaths now standing at 584.
Three deaths have come in the Betsi Cadwaladr region of north Wales with its total now standing at 1,085.
Two deaths have been recorded in Powys, taking its total to 80.
The total number of deaths across Wales with Covid-19 now stands at 6,260.
