Four deaths and over 2,700 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded today.
The latest figures released by Public Health Wales this lunchtime show that 2,784 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded nationwide, with the rate of infection across the country dropping to 477.5 cases per 100,000.
Ceredigion has recorded 31 new cases today with Carmarthenshire recording 182 and Pembrokeshire, 68.
Of the four deaths recorded across Wales today, two have been in the Hywel Dda Health Board region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
They take the total number of deaths in west Wales since the start of the pandemic to 589.
No new deaths have been recorded in Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board’s region of north Wales or Powys, with the total number of Covid-19 related fatalities remaining at 1,087 and 80 respectively.
