Nearly 900 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wales today – but these figures are likely to be an underestimate due to a lag in data.
Nine new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ceredigion and 35 in Powys.
Pembrokeshire has recorded nine new cases, with Carmarthenshire recording 22 and Gwynedd 27 cases.
Across Wales, 861 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded by Public Health Wales today.
No new deaths have been recorded, with the total of Covid-19 related deaths in Wales since the start of the pandemic remaining at 5,581.
Public Health Wales says however that today’s figures are likely to be an underestimate of the total number of cases due to a lag in receiving data
Over 70 per cent of people in Ceredigion have now received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Data released by Hywel Dda University Health Board shows that 51,610 appointments have taken place in Ceredigion for a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, which equates to 71 per cent of the population.
41,651 people have had both vaccines, which equates to 57.3 per cent of people in the county.
Elsewhere, Carmarthenshire has is slightly behind, with 69.1 per cent of the population receiving their first jab and 56.3 per cent being fully vaccinated.
Pembrokeshire has fully vaccinated 58.3 per cent of the population with 72.1 per cent having the first dose.
