Four Covid-related deaths have been recorded in Wales today, according to official figures.

Public Health Wales’ daily figures, released this afternoon, show that 608 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded today, with four new deaths.

Ceredigion has only recorded two new cases of the virus today, with Carmarthenshire recording 18 and Pembrokeshire, 17.

19 new cases have been recorded in Powys, with Gwynedd recording seven.

Rolling seven-day figures, which cover a period between 24 and 30 July, showed that Porthmadog had the highest number of new cases with 21 cases recorded over that period.

Tywyn and Llangelynnin recorded 18 cases over the same period with the highest number of new cases in Ceredigion coming in the Borth and Bontgoch area, with 14 cases recorded.

10 cases were recorded in the Machynlleth and Banwy area over the same seven day period.
