Over 3,300 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths have been recorded in Wales today.

Public Health Wales’ latest figures show that 3,369 new cases of the virus have been recorded in Wales with the rate of infection nationwide now standing at 649.0 cases per 100,000 population.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 227 new cases today with Pembrokeshire recording 89, Gwynedd recording 116 and Powys recording 63.

Ceredigion has recorded 51 new cases which is the lowest number of daily cases for any county in Wales.

The nine new deaths recorded across Wales today take the total Covid-19 death toll since the pandemic started to 5,879.

513 of those deaths have been recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board in North Wales as recorded 1,037 Covid-19 deaths with 72 in Powys.
