No new Covid-related deaths have been reported in the latest figures released by Public Health Wales this lunchtime.
The total number of deaths in the country remains at 5,528, while 130 new cases were recorded today, taking the overall tally to 210,344.
In Ceredigion, two new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, and the seven-day rolling total (for 30 March to 5 April) is just five, resulting in a rate of 6.9 cases per 100,000 population – the second lowest in Wales.
The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic is 1,762 – by far the lowest in Wales - meaning 6.7 per cent of the 26,232 tests have returned a positive result.
Elsewhere in the Hywel Dda Health Board region, Carmarthenshire has reported four new cases and Pembrokeshire three.
The rolling seven-day total in Carmarthenshire is 25, and 20 in Pembrokeshire.
In Powys, eight new cases were reported today, taking the overall total to 4,132 - an 7.7 per cent positive proportion of the total 53,681 tests carried out in the county.
Gwynedd has recorded seven new cases today, while the county’s rolling seven-day total is 27, resulting in a rate of 21.7 cases per 100,000 population.
A total of 3,321 positive cases have been returned in the county since the pandemic’s start, meaning 5.8 per cent of the total 56,943 tests have been positive.
According to Public Health Wales, 1,556,316 people in Wales have received a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 509,478 have also had their second dose.
As of the week ending 4 April, 237,886 vaccines had been administered by Hywel Dda Health Board, 101,362 by Powys Teaching Health Board, and 448,219 by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board which covers Gwynedd.
