Seven Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in the Hywel Dda region of west Wales today, according to the latest figures.

3,450 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across Wales today, with the national rate of infection rising to 617,0 cases per 100,000 population.

Ceredigion has recorded 47 new cases today with 107 in Pembrokeshire and 233 in Carmarthenshire.

Powys has recorded 85 new cases today with 81 new cases in Gwynedd.

13 deaths in total have been recorded across Wales today, taking the total number of Covid-19 related fatalities since March 2020 to 6,050.

Seven of those deaths have come in the Hywel Dda region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, taking the total number of coronavirus deaths in the area to 546.

One death has been recorded in Betsi Cadwaldr Health Board’s region of north Wales, taking its total to 1,058.

No new deaths have been recorded in Powys, with the death toll remaining at 76.
