CEREDIGION recorded no new Covid cases in today’s daily figures - but Gwynedd added 10 more cases to its tally.
Gwynedd’s case rate remains among the highest in Wales at 87 per 100,000, but Ceredigion stays firmly at the bottom, with only six cases per 100,000. The 7-day average case rate for Wales stands at 42 per 100,000 people (according to the lastest available figures).
Powys had seven new cases reported today, Carmarthenshire nine and Pembrokeshire just one new case.
There were 210 new cases overall in Wales reported today (Saturday) by Public Health Wales, and six new suspected Covid deaths.
Dr Chris Williams, incident director for outbreak response at Public Health Wales, said: “The weekly incidence of Covid-19 infections is now below 50 cases per 100,000 population in more than half of the local authorities in Wales, with the overall rate at 41.4 cases per 100,000.
“This does vary between local authority areas and therefore we remind the public that restrictions are still in place."
Meanwhile the Office for National Statistics Wales said the percentage of people testing positive continued to decrease last week.
"We estimate that 8,300 people in Wales had Covid-19, equating to around one in 365 people," they said in their weekly results from the Covid-19 Infection Survey.
