HEALTH services in Ceredigion will need to change, and residents in the county should take the chance to have their say on how services should be provided in the future as part of a consultation, Hywel Dda Health Board has said.
The health board launched the consultation into Transforming Clinical Services earlier in the summer, but will hold a final public engagement session at Aberystwyth’s Morlan Centre on Wednesday, 6 September, ahead of the consultation’s closure on 15 September.
The event will run from 2pm until 7pm and will give residents the chance to put forward suggestions for the future of how services should be provided across the county.
Dr Philip Kloer, the medical director and director of clinical strategy for Hywel Dda, said there had been a wide range of suggestions provided already, but said the health board wanted to hear from as many people as possible.
He said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has responded to our survey, or who has attended a TCS event so far; part of the feedback we’ve received from people is that they wanted us to hold another public drop-in session in each county before the engagement process closes.
“So I’d like to formally invite any Ceredigion residents who haven’t yet shared their thoughts to come to Y Morlan and make their voices heard.
“Now is the time for people to speak up and share their ideas and experiences to help make the NHS in mid and west Wales the best it can be.”
