DELAYS to building work for Blaenau Ffestiniog’s new health centre hub will only have a minor impact on the project, Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board has said.
Members of the health board heard that it had been necessary to make minor changes to the board’s capital programme because of delays to Canolfan Goffa Ffestiniog, which will be an integrated health and social care facility.
But the health board said that work was still “progressing well” despite the delays and that building work was expected to be complete in July and opened shortly afterwards.
A spokesperson said: “The main building contractor was appointed at the end of January 2016 and demolition work commenced on site at the end of March 2016.
“Construction work is progressing well with the block work now at first floor level and the roofing to follow.
